As our new centre won’t be ready until the new year, in the interim period we’re renting space for our Monday and Wednesday classes (see revised timetable for Wednesdays below) from Mindful therapies at the following address, which is just round the corner from Broadacre house: 15 Carliol Square NE1 6UF (It is in the basement of British India House on Carliol Square and the main entrance will be to the left of Metro Repro and the disabled access is through Flat Caps coffee). Other events and classes will be on hold for this period.
The building work on our new centre is going well due to the diligent efforts of Norman and his team – photographic evidence below!

November Sangha nights have a Japanese theme:
Our final sangha night at Broadacre House will be a farewell puja on Wednesday 1 November, led by our chair Akuppa.
On Wednesday 8 NovemberSraddhamani will introduce us to Hakuin who revitalised the Rinzai Zen Buddhist tradition in Japan. He’s famous as the author of the koan “If someone claps his hands one hears a sound at once. Listen now to the sound of a single hand.”
Aryashila will lead our regular monthly meditation workshop with an evening on six element practice on Wednesday 15 November.
On Wednesday 22 November, Akuppa will talk about Kukai, founder of the Shingon School of Japanese Buddhism. Scholar, monk and poet Kukai loved living in nature:
“I have never tired of watching the pine trees and the rocks of Mount Koya. The limpid stream of the mountain is the source of my inexhaustible joy.”
Jyotipala will focus upon Dogen, the founder of the Soto School of Zen Buddhism for the final sangha night of the month on Wednesday 29 November.
