Regular Classes and Sangha nights in March

All our events are taking place in our new centre at 187 Westgate road.

Monday Drop-In Beginners Meditation: 5:30pm-6:30pm Class starts promptly so please arrive at 5.15pm 
Class runs 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th March. All welcome. These events are free but we ask for a donation towards the upkeep of the centre if you can spare it.
Monday Drop-In Buddhism For Today Class:  6.45 – 7.30pm Dates as for above. This class covers the life of the Buddha and his key teachings. Topics include, ethics, karma and love, ritual and mantra, and spiritual friendship. These introductory sessions follow an 8 week cycle and take place every Monday at 6.45pm. No need to book, just drop in. Sessions are free, donations welcome.
Drop-in early morning meditations There will be morning meditations from  7.30-8.30am and 9-9.40am (doors open at 7am) from Monday 26/2/18 – Friday 2/3/18. Open to all from beginners to seasoned meditators. Free (though donations help towards the costs of running the centre).


This is our Sangha night, when our spiritual community come together to learn, discuss, meditate and eat a shared supper. All welcome if you’re familiar with the two main meditation practices ( mindfulness of breathing and metta bhavana) 

Our timings for Sangha nights at our new centre are:
5.30-6.30pm – shared vegan supper (please bring a contribution)
6:30-7:10 – meditation
7:15-8:15 – Dharma study (or puja)
8.15- 8.35 – Break
8:35- 9.15 – meditation

We will be exploring the five jinas during March, starting on Wednesday 7th Marchwith Akshobhya – the blue Buddha who sits in the eastern quarter. The name Akṣobhya means immovable or imperturbable. Richard will be presenting this evening.

On Wednesday 14th March Lynne will introducing us to Ratnasambhava, the yellow Buddha of the southern quarter. His name means “jewel born”.

Jyotipala will present on Wednesday 21st March an evening on Amitabha the Buddha of the Western quarter. His name means “infinite light”.

And as the moon comes to fullness at the end of the month, we will have an evening of practice and puja on 28thMarch. This will be led by a member of the Sangha.
