Meditation is a means whereby we can work directly on ourselves in order to facilitate positive change. The benefits of meditation can be experienced quite quickly and can have life-changing effects.
We teach two traditional meditation practices known as ‘The Mindfulness of Breathing’ and the ‘Metta-Bhavana’ (‘development of loving-kindness’). The Mindfulness of Breathing helps us to develop a calm, clear and focussed mind. The Metta-Bhavana offers us a way of transforming our emotions and to develop a greater positive attitude towards ourselves and others.
We offer introductory courses in meditation. We also have follow on classes, most of which offer a combination of meditation and Buddhism.

Open to complete beginners and those who want to mediate with others, the session will include a brief introduction to either the mindfulness of breathing or development of loving kindness meditation, followed by a period of practice.
